Thanks Jessica. Good catch on the sign! You really don't see people carting around the actual durian fruits these days - the durian vendors will extract the edible parts for you and plastic wrap them for transport. Back when I was a kid, you'd have people lugging gunny-sacks of the actual spiky fruits home. Good times...

Beautiful photos!

There's a sign for durians, but there doesn't seem to be a fine for it either... lol. You'd think that if they meant it, they'd fine. :)

Hi Anna, you are absolutely correct - Hong Kong it is! Maybe the next time you are there, a side trip to Singapore to sample some of the food is in order? :-)

Great post! I'm glad you and Christina had a great time in Singapore. I would like to take a guess on that skyline, and I want to say Hong Kong. I've been there a few times and I am going to be so embarrassed if that's wrong LOL.

That food looks really delicious - you can't beat fresh noodles! I love the "no durian" signs - when I was in Thailand they were everywhere and at first I didn't understand ... until I found some durian at a shopping centre and wondered what that pungent smell was! Haha!
