After what feels like a very long time, vacation time is upon us again. My wife and I did not have a “real” vacation last year, so we’ve decided to make up for it this year by doing a mini round-the-world trip. So, where are we going? You’re going to have to read our posts over the next few weeks to find out…
The weeks leading up to our vacation were extremely busy work-wise, and we did not start packing until the night before our 4-week trip. My wife decided to pack overnight and did not finish until early in the morning. I started packing at 9:30am and finished up about an hour later – years of last-minute packing experience sorta paid off there.
We were through YVR security by 1:30 pm and plonked ourselves down in the Air Canada lounge at around 2 o’clock. It was slim pickings as far as food selection was concerned, but I made do with some soup. The bonus is of course the self-serve open bar, but it was way too early to indulge.
